Senior Physiotherapist (Band 6/7) Jobs

To provide expert physiotherapy care to patients, lead specific clinical areas, and contribute to the development and implementation of physiotherapy services, ensuring high standards of practice and effective patient outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Clinical Expertise and Patient Care:

-Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex conditions, using evidence-based practice and advanced clinical reasoning skills.   

– Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize patient recovery and independence.   

– Provide specialist advice and support to patients, carers, and families, promoting self-management and long-term health. 

  1. Leadership and Service Development:

– Lead on clinical service development initiatives, including the evaluation and implementation of new treatments and techniques.   

– Supervise and mentor junior staff, students, and support workers, fostering a learning environment and encouraging professional development.   

– Contribute to the planning and delivery of in-service training programs. 

  1. Quality and Performance Management:

– Undertake regular audits and participate in research activities to ensure and enhance the quality of care.   

– Monitor patient outcomes and service performance, identifying areas for improvement and leading change initiatives.   

– Ensure adherence to professional standards, clinical guidelines, and governance frameworks. 

  1. Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

– Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, managers, and external partners, to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.  

– Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and joint clinics to discuss patient progress and complex cases. 

  1. Professional Development:

– Maintain and enhance clinical competence through continuous professional development (CPD) and reflective practice.   

– Keep abreast of developments in physiotherapy practice, research, and technology, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice. 

Qualifications: 

– Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent.

– Registered with the relevant professional regulatory body (e.g., HCPC in the UK).

– Significant post-qualification experience, including experience at Band 5 or equivalent.

– Evidence of continuing professional development and advanced clinical skills training relevant to the role.
