We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiographer to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating radiographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, patient care, and teamwork to ensure effective and efficient imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

– Operate radiographic and imaging equipment, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, to obtain diagnostic images.
– Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
– Position patients and equipment correctly to achieve the best diagnostic outcome while ensuring minimal radiation exposure.
– Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret image results and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment planning.
– Maintain accurate patient records and manage the storage and retrieval of imaging data.
– Ensure the imaging equipment is in good working condition, performing routine checks and maintenance.
– Adhere to radiation safety measures and protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure.
– Participate in continuous professional development to keep up-to-date with advancements in radiographic technology and techniques.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Degree in Radiography or equivalent qualification in a related healthcare field.
– Registration with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK).
– Experience in operating a variety of imaging equipment and conducting different radiographic examinations.
– Strong technical skills and attention to detail to produce and analyze high-quality images.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
– Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
– Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards.
