About the Role:

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team and provide high-quality care to individuals who need support with daily living activities. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals in a variety of settings, including residential homes, hospitals, and in-home care.

As a Care Worker, you will assist individuals with personal care, mobility, and emotional support while maintaining their dignity and promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Help individuals with mobility and physical activities.
  • Assist with feeding and maintaining proper nutrition.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Document care provided and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care at all times.
  • Work as part of a team, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Ensure a clean and comfortable living environment for the individuals in your care.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in a care role, preferably in elderly or disability care (training can be provided).
  • A passion for helping others and a compassionate nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks and manage patient needs.
  • A high level of respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Desirable Skills:

  • QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or similar qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience in a residential care setting or home care.
  • Knowledge of patient care protocols and health & safety guidelines.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
