About the Role:
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to join our team and provide high-quality care to individuals who need support with daily living activities. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals in a variety of settings, including residential homes, hospitals, and in-home care.
As a Care Worker, you will assist individuals with personal care, mobility, and emotional support while maintaining their dignity and promoting their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Help individuals with mobility and physical activities.
- Assist with feeding and maintaining proper nutrition.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document care provided and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals under your care at all times.
- Work as part of a team, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
- Ensure a clean and comfortable living environment for the individuals in your care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in a care role, preferably in elderly or disability care (training can be provided).
- A passion for helping others and a compassionate nature.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle physical tasks and manage patient needs.
- A high level of respect for patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Flexibility and willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Desirable Skills:
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or similar qualification (preferred but not essential).
- Experience in a residential care setting or home care.
- Knowledge of patient care protocols and health & safety guidelines.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
